Discover China's rich islamic culture, that have prevailed for more than 1500 years, and share with local muslims to learn how it is still flourishing today. During the last trip, led by R Noentil and Jaafar Kassim from media consultancy asia, the group visited a number of local mosques,shared conversations and meals with local muslims. A number of participants made donations to the local community and subsequently made their 2006 koban sacrificial rituals together with their Chinese friends.
2007 mission trips are planned for April, June and August. Do book early as we can only accomodate 20 persons on each mission. This is organised by Rhazlay Noentil, MD, Media AsiaConsult.
Tour Itinerary
DAY01 SINGAPORE/ SHANGHAI / SONGJIANG MOSQUE/ JIN MAO TOWER Dep Morning (Breakfast onboard, Lunch, Dinner) Assemble at Changi International Airport Terminal 1 for direct flight to Shanghai, the most advance and fastest developing city in China. Its also the busiest port and commercial city with buildings in diverse architectural styles elegance and history. Upon arrival your English speaking guide welcome you and arrange transfer to your Hotel. (Pearl Hotel, the Shanghai Islamic Hotel or similar class).

Late morning, proceed to Songjiang City. Visit the Songjiang Heritage Mosque. The Oldest mosque in the Shanghai region built during Yuan Dynasty. Welcome by mosque leaders, followed by educational and inspection. Enjoy Lunch and Sharing-session Questions & Answers with local muslims.  After lunch, Zohor Prayer with the locals.

Tour to Lu Jia Jui, Shanghai most advanced financial district incorporating the World Tallest Hotel, Jin Mao Tower (The Grand Hyatt Hotel). Experience the fastest lift (entrance ticket included) in the world, taking you to the peak of the Hotel, overseeing the famous and spectacular Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the highest TV tower in Asia standing near the bank of Huangpu River with a backdrop of buildings with European architecture viz: gothic, baroque, romanesque, and renaissance.

Return to hotel and enjoy a sumptuous welcome dinner at the hotels famous Halal Restaurant.

Evening, free & easy. You may want to do some shopping near the hotel or check with the guide to go to the many shopping districts in Shanghai. Or enjoy and concert or dance performance.
DAY02 XIAO TAO YUAN MOSQUE / SHANGHAI ISLAMIC CENTRE / YUYUAN GARDEN (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Visit Peoples Square and Shanghai famous Silk Factory where you can see how silk is produced.

Visit Xiao Tao Yuan Mosque and Shanghai Islamic Association, housing the Islamic Centre. Welcome by the mosque leaders followed by educational and inspection tour. Lunch at the mosque and sharing-session Questions and Answers. After lunch, Zohor prayer with the locals.

Depart to Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai traditional Chinese Park complete with beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and stone sculptures. You may want to shop at Cheng Huang Plaza for traditional art and crafts, souvenirs and local delicacies.

Dinner at local Halal restaurant.

After dinner, free & easy. You may like to watch the most famous Shanghai Acrobatic Show (Optional).
DAY03 NANJING ROAD / XIANG YANG STREET (Breakfast / Dinner)

Breakfast at Hotel. After which transfer to Nanjing Road for shopping. You can buy the latest and most fashionable men and ladies clothing, shoes, bags, local products, etc,
.(Lunch at own expense).

Afternoon, proceed to Xiang Yang Street, the most popular flea market for clothes and general merchandise. You can get the best deals here. Dont forget to bargain down to 20% of the offer price.

Dinner at local Halal Restaurant.

Evening, your guide will take you to the most beautiful night city tour where you visit the Bund must-see site when visiting Shanghai. Next, proceed to Xin Tian Ti, the home to chic restaurants and shopping opportunities.
DAY04 HUXI MOSQUE OR PUDONG MOSQUE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Breakfast at Hotel.

Visit Tea Culture Shop where you learn the traditional tea making and various types of Chinese Tea.

Transfer to Huxi Mosque, the most populous in Shanghai.
Option 2 :
- Visit Pudong Sun Jiao Modern Organic Agriculture.
- Next to Pudong Mosque, the most modern in the city.
Upon arrival, welcome by the mosque leaders followed by educational and inspection tour. Lunch at the Mosque and sharing-session Questions and Answers. After lunch, Zohor prayer with the locals.
- Afternoon, proceed to the Gems & Jewels Factory where you can see and buy various unique precious stones and jade.
- Dinner at local Halal Restaurant.
- Evening free & easy. You may want to do some last minute shopping.
DAY05 SHANGHAI / SINGAPORE GA897 1005/1540HRS (B) Breakfast at Hotel. Check out and proceed to the worlds fastest train 430km/h Maglev Train for transfer to airport for your flight to Singapore. You will visit the Exhibition Centre at the train station. (train ticket included)
